Circa has just published a short piece of mine in its Fall 2013 issue. If it seems an unlikely venue for my work, you're right. But Circa's editor, Jennifer Falkner, a writer of historical fiction herself, has an eclectic sensibility--and a sense of humor. She has described my story as "a new twist on motivational speaking during the Crimean War."
Also in the current issue are stories by Crawdad Nelson, Jordan Legg, Brinda Banergee, Patrick Donavan, Kawika Guillermo, Carol Glasser Langille, and Nick Wisseman.
